HEAVYWEIGHTPAINT
In late 2010, when Jeff moved from Brooklyn to DC, he broke away from the larger crew format in making docs to go it alone as a one-man band. Armed with an early DSLR camera that shot cinematic-looking video, a 50-mm prime, and a set of Lav mics, he followed four painters through the tumultuous ride of the Art World. The project was funded through a successful kickstarter campaign, Jeff’s promo editing jobs, and his loving wife. The film went on to win the Edmonton International Film Festival in 2016 for best feature-length documentary.
EverForward
This Documentary Short, screened at the 2025 Maryland International Film Festival, follows Jeff’s childhood friend Denise Toderico. After her “incident”—being struck by an under-the-influence driver going 60 mph while she was out running early one morning near her home, she was left for dead, with a litany of life-changing injuries. EVERFORWARD follows Denise’s journey of recovery. This stirring documentary shows the power of positivity and how, when you set your mind to something, you can achieve it, EverForward.
